PROCEDURE: 10h TITLE: HRC image stability test CATEGORY: verification PURPOSE: To determine and quantify if there are any end-to-end shifts or drifts in the HRC between the coronographic arm and the HRC detector. FREQUENCY: Run continuosly while the HRC makes thermal transition(s) during the ACS thermal vacuum tests. DETECTOR: HRC PREREQUISITES: exposure levels with STUFF determined (done). Coronographic arm in place. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: STUFF + PtNe1 + micro-mirror array. Coronographic arm must not be moved during test. Filter wheel should also not move. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: acs_gain, acs_stats COMMAND MODE: SMS PROCEDURE/EXPOSURES: F606W --> countrate = 32.7 KHz/pixel 1. 0.0s bias 2-16. 0.8s external F606W level = 26.1k Dump data 17. 0.0s bias 18-32. 0.8s external F606W level = 26.1k Dump data 33. 0.0s bias 34-48. 0.8s external F606W level = 26.1k Dump data VARIANTS: TOTAL EXPOSURES: 48 TOTAL TIME: setup + 48*overhead + 3*dump = 1.01hr Assume setup = 600s, overhead = 41s (from previous SMS's), dump = 358s ANALYSIS: *collapse column and row cuts through central coron. spot to 1d, cross-correlate with initial column and row cuts, to derive horizontal and vertical shifts. *plot shifts as a function of environmental temperature, and time. * note any drifts or sudden shifts.
