PROCEDURE: 3s TITLE: Internal calibration lamp flats (SBC) CATEGORY: Verification PURPOSE: Test whether calibration lamp + ND filter provides correct amount of illumination. FREQUENCY: Run once at nominal environmental T DETECTOR: SBC PREREQUISITES: (1) Run unknown light level safe open procedure (#7s) before running the first time. (2) Note count rates for each filter during this. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: none SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: standard stats analysis tool COMMAND MODE: PSTOL PROCEDURE/EXPOSURES: During safe-open procedure note any filters that are likely to over illuminate detector. Exclude them from the following exposures. Flats need to be of sufficient quality get an overall shape and to determine global count rates. 10-20 counts/pixel should be sufficient. Adjust exposure times within a factor of 2 if need be. 1. dark 1000s 2. F122M 1000s 3. F165LP 1000s 4. F150LP 200s 5. F140LP 200s 6. F125LP 200s 7. F115LP 200s 8. PR130L 200s 9. PR110L 200s 10. dark 1000s VARIANTS: a- as above TOTAL EXPOSURES: 10 TOTAL TIME: setup + 10*overhead + 5200s = 1.94: hr (setup = 10min, overhead = 2min) ANALYSIS: (1) Subtract scaled dark exposure; Run basic statistical analysis of image. (2) Compare count rate to model predictions. (3) Divide smoothed internal flat by long STUFF flat with same filter. Ratio gives difference in illumination pattern.
