Research

Lately most of my work has been focused on these beautiful images: Abell 1689 and VV 29 (UGC 10214) & NGC 4676 . You can find a paper about these two last fields here . The corresponding images and catalogs are here: VV 29 (UGC 10214) and NGC4676 .

Last year I published two papers about Supernovae. One about the farthest known supernova , the other about what may be the closest one . To our surprise the latter got quite a lot of attention in the press: Baltimore Sun, National Geographic News, The Economist, NewsFactor, El País.
