New Results from the LALA Survey

JunXian Wang

The Large Area Lyman Alpha (LALA) survey is aimed at finding objects at high redshift. So far it ~ 400 lya emitters at z >~ 4.5 have been found. I will describe their properties in two aspects: (1) Deep Chandra view of high redshift Lyman-alpha Emitters: How many of them are narrow-line AGNs? Our recent deep Chandra observations provide some clues; (2) X-ray color of high-redshift AGN: Our simulations showing that the X-ray color (hardness ratio) can be used to effectively select high-redshift AGN from the x-ray selected, optically undetected candidates.
